Useless and expensive

Gems cannot even process a simple claim correctly. I recently went to see a doctor who I had to pay directly as the doctor does not deal with any medical aids. Afterwards emailed gems all the necessary supporting documents to reimburse me. They simply cannot understand this. Gems then sent me a bill saying that I owe them the money and threatened to cancel my benefits. What the hel is up with that!!! I paid the doctor myself!!!! I called them up and they said they will fix it on their side. Yeah right, that was never done because a few weeks later I had to submit another claim in a similar fashion and they subtracted the fee I paid to the doctor in the first claim from the payout in the second claim. This feels like *****ing to me, wouldn't you agree? Gems used to be quite good, but lately they are so flipin bad and expensive at the same time that I cannot see the use in staying with them. I can now get the same cover elsewhere for the same money as their fees have gone up 200% in the last 3 years.
