Useless

Scheduled for a root canal on 26/11/2015 which required dental authorisation. Submitted forms on 19/11/2015. Followed up on 23/11/2015 only to be told it was sent to the wrong email address (this email address appears nowhere on the website by the way). Obviously expecting the person at the end of the fax and email we did send it to, to pass it along to the correct department is too much to ask.

Went to the GEMS branch in Welkom to follow up on 24/11/2015. Consultant called and was told no forms were received. So we submitted them again. Went back on 25/11/2015 to follow up and was then told its not done yet despite having waited longer than 48 hours in which it should've been processed. The consultant who called on our behalf was told we had to write \urgent"on the forms if we wanted it handled in the 48 hours as promised by GEMS.

Decided to cancel the root canal. Low and behold the authorisation SMS only came through this morning 30/11/2015. So on top of paying over R7000 (Onyx) each month to cover my family"
