Unable to get pre-authorisation for specialist doctor who does cupping

My GP phoned the call centre on the 20 and 21 Jan 2020 in order to get preauthorisation for a specialist which forms part of the category of acupuncture and Chinese medicine (cupping - GEMS tariff code 4020) . The GP was unable to get preauthorisation for Dr A Allie (BHF practise number ***).

I phoned GEMS on the 21 Jan 2020 and they confirmed that the specialist will be covered but up until now my GP and I cant get the preauthorisation. The reference number for the call, where GEMS confirmed it will be covered is MH***.

Can GEMS please ensure that I get the preauthorisation for this doctor as I will be paying for the service in cash and claiming it from GEMS?
