Treated unfairly

I would like to express my greatest disappointed on Gems Medical Aid.On the 18th of February 2017 I gave birth at Botshelong Clinix Hospital in Vosloorus via c section, beforehand all the necessary requirements we done and got an authorisation to carry on with the procedure.But to my surprise during the year I found out that that l owe R10.000 the hospital and the medical aid does not want to pay.Why would you authorise for the procedure but refuse to pay ? I did not choose to have a c section and my gynacologist sent all the required documents. Must I pay the medical aid monthly and still pay the hospital and the same time.? I feel like I was treated unfairly.
