Stroke & Pneumonia Patient Hopistal Stay Terminated Withot a Warning Whist Still Sick - Left to Die

I am very unhappy with how Gems is treating my mother`s medical condition. My mother has been a Gems member for many without being hospitalized, not even once. My mother had a stroke, which was due to a heart condition. And was admitted to Mediclinic in Tzaneen where they stabilized her and sent he to Muelmed rehabilitation center in Pretoria. Whilst she was there, the Neurologist realist that her endurance was not enough to make the 3 hours worth of exercises required by the Medical aid from Rehab patience. Upon medical test ran by the Cardiologist he found out that she has a serious heart condition which required a pace maker operation. Whist waiting for the Pace Maker, her daughter (my sister) died and the news made her regress, where she even developed a pneumonia and was taken off the rehab file to medical file. She was very sick and the Cardiologist decided against the Pace Maker (for now) given her current condition. She was then moved to Intercare Hazeldean (stepdown) because there she will get less intense exercises and they will continue treating her for Pneumonia. It is only 3 days ago that she finished her antibiotics. Due to her illness or treatment that she was still taking, the hospital has only booked our first family visit to the hospital for next the 25th of February. Where they will discuss with us discharge planning options and how to care for her once discharged and be taught about her damage of the stroke (As she is Paralyzed the entire left side and suffered some brain injury as well). The Hospital advised that the family bring a person who will be trained, as a carer of my mother once discharged. To my VERY GIG surprise GEMS has already terminated my mother`s hospital stay WITHOUT A WARINING to myself or the case manager. The Physio The****** together with the case manager requested 6 weeks from the Medical aid. As she was on the medical, file all this while. They plan was to have her discharged on the 2 week of March in order to put a discharge plan in place. At the stepdown facility, the medical aid is paying way less than at the rehab hospital. How could Gems be so careless, even the Wheelchair was only delivered this week, it has not been assembled yet. All these plans from the Hospital are to prevent POSSIBLE DERFORMITY, ISCHEMIA, and ALL SORTS OF NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER OR POSSOBILE DEATH. The letter of termination was sent to me via email last night. WHAT TYPE OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE IS THIS?? My mother is being thrown to the streets with just like that?? She is still very sick, she still has a heart condition, which could not be sorted due to a loss she suffered in this process, and there is the Stroke and Pneumonia issue. How COULD THE MEDICAL AID JUST DECIDE, SHE MUST BE OUT. What about the training if the carer?? Must I NOW DRIVE TO Pretoria from Phalaborwa and go get her? I will sue GEMS with NO CARE and gross negligence as she will have Joints contracture and become *******. No after care preparation or anything. What type of rehabilitation and recovery plan is this?
