Stoma due to cancer - but no bags/baseplates for you.

My mom, a pensioner, has been diagnosed with cervical cancer which has spread throughout her intestines. Due to this, she received a stoma which in itself has been so problematic together with her years of chemo journey, being now on palliative care. Now GEMS does not want to pay for her bags/baseplates etc. It was authorized as a PMB. How do you expect her to have any quality of life if the necessities are not being funded? It's like saying sorry - no oxygen for someone that needs it to live. The anxiety this is causing on top of her being sick is heart breaking to see.
