Still paying for chronic meds

GEMS still refuses to make it "chronic" even after the doctor has written a letter as well. </p> <p>Every time I fetch the new batch GEMS let's me know that I should ask for the generic brand, today I did and what a joke, it is only a little bit cheaper than the actual medicine. I don't understand why I have to pay R1500 per month to be on a medical aid that is supposed to allow me to have chronic meds, no on top of this they expect you to pay almost another R500 per month to get the meds... It's pretty ridiculous. I hate meds, I hate going to the doctor, now you nail me even more. </p> <p> </p> <p>Good thing I'm planning on leaving this medical aid. But maybe the medical council should also hear about this. </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
