Re: new application for GEMS

The Government Employee medical Aid Scheme has responded to my last review, and they insisted that they tried to reach before they terminated my membership. I have asked them to give the number they used and messages, they claimed to have sent me, but they never send them. I told them that it is highly possible that they phoned my on my old number. They further insisted that I should send a new application , and promised that they will exempt me from a waiting period considering the fact that both myself and my Mother, are on chronic medication. I sent the new application, but up until today there is no response, no communication from GEMS, whatsoever. The bad part about myself and my Mother we have been out of medication for more than two weeks now. We are both on diabetic and hypertension medication.
