PMB Conditions & Casualty care paid from Day to Day funds & NO Response/feedback on queries

My son fractured his arm, which is according to the Council of Medical scheme a PMB condition i.e. PMB Code: "902H - Closed fractures/ dislocations of limb bones / epiphyses – excluding fingers and toes". The doctor visit, Xrays and casting must be paid from the scheme and NOT from my Day to Day benefits! I called and the lady kept going on about the ICD10 code which indicates the fracture. Medical aid staff should know what is PMB conditions. No feedback has been given on my query MH***. These funds needs to be reversed so that Day to Day is available again. Then, a week later (27 May 2023) my husband had an injury / emergency when he fell of his bicycle and injured his arm, with severe swelling and pain. He went to casualties, is this really the only medical scheme who does not have a casualty / emergency benefit?? ALL expenses again paid from Day to Day benefit. So basically, if you have an emergency you should wait until Monday otherwise you will pay double / triple for services as the medical aid will NOT pay anything from hospital section. No where in communication from Gems does it state call for an authorization in an emergency. Please URGENTLY attend to this matter and reverse the PMB payments from my DAY TO DAY. Alternatively, I will log a complaint with Council of Medical schemes. This is an urgent matter as my husband's arm still require urgent attention.

So GEMS sent queries to the suppliers requesting information as "I apparently queried accounts not paid"! How difficult is it! No one clearly knows what is going on. You can see accounts was paid from DAY TO DAY benefits, BUT as a fracture of a limb (as per ICD10 codes) is a PMB condition you were supposed to pay it from the medical scheme portion and NOT from DAY TO DAY! There is a PMB code for this!!! I will now have to log a complaint with council of medical schemes. I worked in the medical industry for 12 years and know how this works. This has been more than 6 weeks and NO calls or emails!
