New additional dependent taking over 2 weeks

I’m so upset and disappointed in how GEMS has handled my request to add my partner as a dependent. I sent the request on the 20th of March 2023 and even after the 72 hours grace period they request you to give them for feedback I was not given any feedback & I figured the 21st was a holiday but I then I called on the 22nd and was told all documents are complete .. he should be added by Friday the 24th of March 2023.

On Friday the dependent was still not added , I was told the matter had been escalated and it should be sorted within 48 hours . I again asked if everything was complete and if I had submitted all documents required and I was assured that everything was all in order - the matter should be resolved .

On the 29th I called again , still the dependent had still not been added . Was told that the matter was being escalated but rest assured all documents are submitted and that I should give it another 48 hours again . 4 hours later after the call I was sent communication that there’s outstanding documents , I then called and I submitted the outstanding document immediately. Mind you , the person I’m adding has not been on any medical aid since 2016 and on the application form it only requests a medical aid certificate if/when the individual is currently on medical aid . Anyway , I still submitted . On the 30th I called once again , and I as told that the issue should be sorted out within 48 hours …. I only called yesterday, only to be told that I still need to submit section G of the application form . This is so frustrating because this is time and airtime to be taken from pillar to post with no clear indication as to what the problem may be ? How is it taking close to a month to add a dependent when I had a submitted the correct documents according to the application form I had filled it . i don’t know what to do anymore but it’s really disheartening that I constantly have to call only to be told that the matter has been escalated and I should give it 48 hours .. 48hours which has now turned into a whole entire 2 weeks and a half . This is absolutely unacceptable . 😔
