I'm very disgusted with Gems emergency service (ambulance). Yesterday morning just after 10h00 my Husband phoned and said he has heart palpitations I must phone an ambulance. I did. I phoned my husband directly after I phoned gems for the ambulance and asked him if it's still necessary. He said i must cancel he is feeling better but we still need to go to our doctor. I've cancelled the ambulance. 15h00 yesterday afternoon I received a phone call from the paramedic saying he received and sms just now from gems to send out an ambulance to my home. I was so angry I told the paramedic this is unacceptable, it's not his fault but what if my husband had a heart attack. I want to say it again. This is unacceptable. While I'm complaining wrt this incident I also want to raise another incident. On 22 November 2020 my 21 year old son struggled to breath. I phoned gems emergency ambulance service also. The ambulance never even pitched up. We rushed him to hospital where he passed away. That morning when we were on our way back from the hospital a lady from gems phoned me and asked if the ambulance service was acceptable. I was so angry with her I told her no they never pitched and my son passed away. I want to say to all Gems members. DO NOT MAKE USE OF GEMS EMERGENCY SERVICES. FOOLED ME TWICE. I'M NOT GOING TO LEAVE THIS MATTER HERE
