MEMBER PAYING PART OF AMBULANCE FEES

On the 18th August 2015 I was involved in an accident using public transport and was sent to a nearby private hospital. 8 days later I got an invoice from the emergency medical care service provider indicating a shortfall of R329.08 - apparently GEMS did not cover the full fee charged by the SP. The explanation that I got from the GEMS call center was that the SP is \not part of the GEMS Network"and that the two entities \""do not have a contract\"". Does this make sense?
