Medication and follow up consultation fees

We have a medical aid which supposed to be helpful to us as government employees. I appreciate that hospital benefits were paid after I had an accident in September 2020. I have a challenge after I got discharged at the hospital in October, I than had to have medication when I go to pharmacy I was told that no funds available for medication, ok I paid cash of R1000, from there each month I have to pay for medication from my pocket. I am not happy about the funds being exhausted for a person's in recovering process because I am still on braces and had to take high dose medication. Until today I have spent around R3500 on medication. What is the use of having this medical aid if I have to be in debt after recovering? Secondly the follow up consultant are not paid already I am owing a specialist R1700 for consultants. Again what is the purpose of paying medical aid? I am still not recovered already O am stressed of the debts that I am in due to my health while I have medical aid. Yoooh I am so stressed and not happy the way GEMS is treating emergency conditions
