Medical Aid no: *** G R Stevens

My wife was admitted to hospital on 28.9.2015 due to severe back pain. Dr Eksteen decided to do injections in the spine on 26.10.2015. We received authorisation and approval for the procedure from the medical aid. Now I received a phone call from the Netcare Kuils River Hospital that my bill was only partially paid and an amount of R1364.74 is owing by myself. When I contact the Medical Aid I was told on ref no: MH***3 that because I did not sleep over the bill was not fully paid. Why was authorisation for hospitalisation given and the bill not fully paid. Since when must u sleep over for a bill to be fully settled. No reason was mentioned in the authorisation approval that the bill might not be paid in full. The Medical aid better get their facts right and pay the outstanding amount to the hospital.
