My Son was 16 years in 2021 when i took him to the orthodontist. I was told that medical aid doesn't cover braces. I called and explained that I had enough money in my savings account. I was told that I can't use the money in my savings account, even though I'm left with over 65 000 every year, which manages to disappear during the course of the year. God knows where the money disappear to. I don't understand why I'm prohibited to use the money, if it get's depleted, I will pay from my pocket.

My Son's confidence had gone down due to the fact that his teeth were protruding, hence I decided to take him to the orthodontist. Now my second Son has the same problem, and I'm being told the same story again. I'm a single Mother and I can't afford to pay so much money from my own pocket right now. I'm left with more than 65 000 from 2022 savings, I would like to utilise the money to pay off the DR. I can't see any reason why I'm I not allowed to utilise the saving money as I will be getting new advance for 2023.

Fixing my Son's teeth is not cosmetic, it is a must as they are being bul**** at school and made fun of because of their teeth. This has made them to be shy and lack confidence at the same time. I'm writing this e-mail to you so that you and your board members are made aware about the impact of decision you took on behalf of us. I don't want to take this further without giving you an opportunity to respond.
