Maternity program fail

I registered on their maternity program in my second trimester. I was told that i would receive my baby bag in my 3rd trimester. Well i phoned them when i was 37weeks along and asked by when should i exspect the baby bag as it is getting close to my due date. The guy said that the bags were not sent out yet but that he would phone them and ask them to send out the bags asap. Well needless to say my baby is two weeks old already going on 3 and no bag yet. Then what was the point of registering for the program.
