Maternity program
They treat they customers like ****, worst service anyone can get. I've been with the medical aid for 10years, uninterrupted services, and never had major health problems or even admitted in hospital for anything. I am now pregnant with my first child and have enrolled on the maternity and the gems doesn't even pay the full amount for my gynea visits, my bloods are not fully paid, and the worst part was when the phone agency told me they might not pay fully for my hospital stay if I deliver at a private hospital, but will pay if I deliver at a PUBLIC HOSPITAL??? Why am I paying the medical aid for?? I am on the Emerald plan on the medical aid, not emerald value!!!!

We can confirm that your maternity benefits were activated on 12 June 2018 and will expire on your expected date of delivery documented as 17 January 2019. Please note that maternity claims will be paid as per your care plan pending the availability of benefits since registration.
