Lodging a complaint regarding GEMS with the Medical Aids Ombudsman

I, Ronald Fabricius, membership no *** received for the very first time on the 24th of March 2023 an sms and email stating that I owe GEMS R1595.00 with a threat that my BENIFITS WILL BE SUSPENDED. NO PRIOR COMMUNICATION TO THIS SMS AND EMAIL.

I have no idea how could I owe GEMS R1595.00, or how it is even possible?

My medical aid contributions gets deducted directly from my salary, therefore there can be no arrears.

The only instance where I could be required to pay is to a Service Provider, not to GEMS.

GEMS does not pay when funds are exhausted and claims are not in line with my medical aid option cover, therefore there should be NO DEBT to GEMS.

The audacity to THREATEN TO IMMEDIATELY SUSPENDED MY BENEFITS.

I will be lodging a complaint with the Medical Aids Ombudsman.
