Irresponsible and nonsensical, poor service.

Failed promises and lies. Such poor service! I have been with GEMS for 13 years and almost never claims anything. I have been trying to load a dependent on my profile. To apply for them to be added you have to first show that the previous medical aid is cancelled, then they make you wait a month to register them and stated that emergencies will not be covered. I understand the waiting period for claims, but surely then either allow the person to still have their old medical aid till they are registered or at least have them covered for emergencies till they are registered. I submitted all documents timeously and was promised feedback and that it will be resolved within 7 days, but are now told we have to wait until the end of the month. You are leaving people vulnerable over the festive period! Surely this cannot be the first time this has come up.
