In August 2015 i requested for a change in membership and added my parents as dependants but due to financial reasons i decided to terminate them as dependants and in December i received a certificate of membership confirming that theyv bn terminated.To my surprise on 12 February 2016 i received a text message from Gems saying i had contribution arrears of R3522 as if that was not enough on 15 February Gems deducted a total sum of R6913 from my salary i thought was going insane<br> I contacted Gems was told there has been a change in membership as per \my request\" on January 19 2016 to add my parents as dependants.How cud i terminate them only to reinstate them.I asked them to check the date on the form \"i supposedly sent\" to the consultant's surprise and mine the date on the form was 10 August 2015 the very same form that was initially used when i added my parents in 2015.Such high level of incompetence,the same form was used twice.Iv bn told to phone Gems again on 25 February for feedback,spending money that i dont have.Gems own up to your mistake and refund my hard earned money.I was given a ref no NH***5.<br> This has caused me stress and inconvienience."
