INCOMPETENCY AT GEMS
On the 2nd of April my daughter was admitted at Life Parkland Springs. blood tests were done on her by Lancet Labotories. in my understanding anything done while admitted in hospital is covered fully by medical aid. a month or 2 later i receieved calls and sms from Lancet requesting that i pay an amount of R1503.60 which should have been paid by the medical aid. i called Gems and they said they request a motivational letter from the Dr which i sent on the 02/08/2018. i called Gems again on the 24/08/2018 to find out how far are they with the process because i am harrassed by Lancet lawyers only to find out they hadnt processed the claim and the agent i spoke to said it will take 7 days from the day i called . today 18/09/18 i call gems again to find out if the calim has been processed and guess what? its still not processed . i spoke to anothe agent said the very same thing the previous agent said i then requested to speak to her line manager i was put on hold and next thing call dropped. i am sick and tired of GEMS and their *********** agents who are lazy to process things on time.
