Incompetency
They don't send proper statements or brochure for the upcoming year. This poor service of them makes doctors/medical service providers claim any how even for services they didn't provide and you can't argue because you don't know what was paid for. I have even asked them for a breakdown of the services that one doctor claimed to have provided, claiming R6000,00+ at once but they never responded. They have never responded I only got automated response that they received the enquiry and that was 6months ago. Gems has become so *********** I'm even ashamed of having it as medical aid.

Good day
Thank you for alerting us to your concerns regarding your unpaid account.
Upon receipt of your complaint, we referred the account for services rendered 8 and 9 January 2018 to our managed care organisation (MHRS) for PMB review and it was concluded that you are not registered on any ambulatory care plan and the case was referred to the medical advisor for further review. The medical advisor declined the claims as the diagnosis did not qualify as a PMB.
Based on the above-mentioned facts, the balance on the account will therefore remain your responsibility.
We trust the above is in order.
Kind regards
