Horrible medical aid

Last year on the 15th of December I wrote a review about GEMS, this is the review I wrote:

“I am very disappointed and sad about the way GEMS is treating me. My mother has me on her medical aid and she pays the adult fee for me. GEMS sent an SMS advising mum to submit documents stating that I am still a member without stating the importance of those documents since they still were debiting my membership money from mom's account. They cut me off the medical aid without informing us and even after they cut me off they debited my membership money. I was then reinstated in the medical aid but with terms and conditions that do not make sense. They said i cannot get admitted for the disease that I normally get admitted for until 12 months passes. Right now I need a blood transfusion, I am bleeding none stop but they said I cannot get it. So this means I must die just because GEMS fails to make members aware of the importance of documents and also being *****ed. If I die it will be in the hands of GEMS!”

I was contacted by someone from GEMS and I was told that they will look into my issue and they get back to me, they kept their promise, they got back to me and when they got back to me I was told that I only had a 3 months waiting period and not 12 and they told me that they will put that into writing and reply here on Hello Peter and till this day I’m waiting for that reply in writing or an email from them but nothing. When my mother went to GEMS last year in December she was told that they can now see that I will be able to use my medical aid at the end of January they just need to finalize that, and then yesterday she went to go do a follow up and they told her that I have a 12 months waiting period. What kind of nonsense is this? Why do people have to die in order for this medical aid to wake up, they busy taking out money but there is no help, I’m sick right now but I have no where to go. Our lives are not jokes. FIX THIS.
