High co-payments

I am currently on the GEMS Emerald plan and it feels like I don’t have a medical aid. I recently had a co-payment of R3500 for a root canal which is ridiculous considering the amount of money I pay for “medical aid”. In general, I am very unimpressed because most medications and procedures have high co-payments. Might as well move to a lower plan or change the provider at this rate.
