Gems wants doctors to write motivation letters along with prescription for cancer medication

Gems will do absolutely anything to not have to authorise claims made by dependents. They told me and the pharmacy to get a motivational letter from the doctor before they can authorise CANCER medication. This is despite having a doctor’s prescription. I even got them on a call together and it turns out they wanted the doctor to opt for cheaper medication and not what he sees fit for his patients.
