GEMS Unknown Debt

I keep receiving calls from MBD requesting a R250 payment on behalf of GEMS. I lost my job in 2017 and as per my records I did not have any amount owing to GEMS. I rejoined GEMS without any troubles in 2020. What can I do to have this debt against my name removed?
