Gems terminated my membership on the 30th June 2023unreasonable stating I've resigned from Social Development though I was suspended for 3 months without a salary. My suspension was lifted in October 2023 then I called Gems to reactivate my chronic medicine I used to receive they're told me I'm owing R6001,79 but I asked for a breakdown they sent me consent form through my Clientele legal end of 2023. Instead I received a call from a debt collector claiming I must pay R250 immediately. I asked Clientele they they sent me Medscheme contacts to lodge a complaint. I wrote to Council the whole time till to date nothing came out of that instead they rushed to closure of my file without ever having a hearing to state my concerns on record. I called Presidential Hotline then told they don't deal with gems, call dropped abruptly minding that I'm on Chronic Medication. Now my Dr had concerns in my last consultation with him in July 2025.

I noticed since 2023 December after signing a consent form for gems to give clientele legal my confidential information this mbd creeped up my fone since then that makes think gems is creeping on double standards that does respect POPIA ACT??

Do I have a contact with MBD or have I ever given my personal data to MBD? This MBD claims they're collecting on your behalf then what kind of absurd response is that? I believe you think you're above every law in South Africa hey!

28 May 2026, 09:04It is indeed related because MBD keeps claiming they are instructed by you and I must pay some monies to a certain account, after you breached POPIA PRINCIPLES giving them my personal data with the consent form I signed for you to strictly give my personal data to Clientele Legal! Perhaps I should consider suing you for that as per arrogance is concerned.
