GEMS SERVICE IS SHOCKING

I have been trying to get assistance from the gems call centre ***for the past 4 hours and each time I get disconnected because the call centre agents do not have the required training and information on who the designated service providers in regard to drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres are. It is disheartening and shocking that we live in a country that has been thorn apart by the effects of drugs and alcohol and yet the medical aid scheme that covers government employees is unable to provide information on where one could obtain assistance with the care required for people that are dependant on these substances. One of the many call centre agents that I spoke to actually told me that there are no facilities on the designated service providers list situated in Johannesburg! How possible is this???? It would be scary if this is true. I need to know how to locate a designated service provider - in patient rehabilitation facility as a matter of urgency in Johannesburg, one that the medical aid that I pay almost R2000 for on a monthly basis would cover.
