GEMS RUNNING A CIRCUS?

On 01 July I reviewed GEMS Medical Scheme on these pages. I requested them to inform if my wife had the legal right to terminate my membership as a dependant during the course of our divorce. The reply, which was private, was terse. They only communicated with the main member and thus could not provide me with any information. I accepted. But a need had risen that requires I be on medical aid at all costs, as GEMS would see on my medical profile. To apply for cover with a new scheme, a new member needs a membership certificate from the previous scheme, detailing the duration of membership. I was on GEMS from 2007 to 2018 as a main member before becoming a dependant in 2019. With a number of schemes I have been with, it takes minutes to issue a former member with such certificate. I stand in the middle of nowhere as I have requested GEMS for the membership certificate on 01/09/2020, which they appear unable or unwilling to issue to me. This is a certificate when I was a main member with them. I am at my Wits end as GEMS's reply is "we are still processing your request" sent by SMS
