GEMS REFUSED TO PRE AUTHORISE BLOOD TEST

Both my ovaries have been removed and my doctor requested that I do blood test BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 which are cancer screening blood tests. The dr wanted these test because i need Hormone ReplacementTherapy. I called Gems and I was told to inform the dr to write a motivation for the test as my mother died of cancer. The dr sent the motivation and didn't get any response until I called them. I had to explain the motivation written by the dr and I sent them mammogram report, the still decline even after I told them it's a blood test, I don't need to be admitted. I even went through one of the gems official to help find out the reason, he was told that i wrote the motivation myself. I asked the dr's office to send the motivation. I have not received any response to date. I was only requesting pre authorisation for the test.
