GEMS refusal to contact us to clarify MEDIA-12657
I’m writing now for the second time because Gems refuses to contact us in relation to the authorisation for my wife’s MRI scans related to her Ms condition.
They merely sent authorisation not dealing with the issue at hand which is why have there app**** this authorisation as part of the annual basket for the family and not the PMB basket.
We want clarity. I have asked on my complaint to be contacted and explained but to date not one person has phone me. Previous reference : MEDIA-12657

05 Nov 2025, 10:06I had to call now and the issue at hand is getting worse.
The medical advisor is saying that we must submit the report after the scan to see if it will covered under the PMB basket.
The whole point of the scan is an annual mri in relation to the ms condition for disease management? Therefore what needs to be confirmed? Ms is not a disease that goes away. So what exactly do they have to check to see if it falls within the PMB basket
