Gems medical aid - retirement

My mother retired on March 2020 and was not informed that she needs to come fill in forms for continuing with gems medical aid, now she realized she cannot use medical aid as she is taking chronic medication. There was no communication in regard with what happens with the medical aid and now her health is at risk as she cannot get her chronic medication. No further steps or means were taken to reach out this information to her.
