I am.a chronically ill disable person with a rare disease and in cardiac failure and experiencing financial constraints.. Medscheme the administrator ofGems declined a important in hospital abdominal ultra sound of r6500 which makes me liable to pay.the full amount.i was diagnosed with peptic ulcers. Also the maxilla facial surgeon wrote a motivational letter to have all my teeth removed. That the dentistry department of gems only authorized r5000 and i am liable to pay r13 000. Gems administrators medscheme and mhg dont care about gems members and hide the fact that members can apply for extra funding namely ex gratia.All these medical financial constraints has a negative effect , physically, emotionally and financially on me.
