GEMS is SLY and cunning - Will do anything NOT to pay!

I am absolutely appalled by GEMS! My son needs to get braces, and I went to different Drs to get a quote and it cost ME MONEY! Which GEMS WILL NOT REIMBURSE. The one quote was R64k and the other R52k. Safe to say I am going with the Dr that is quoting me far less. And as per GEMS they only pay what is in the financial limit which in my case is not even R5000. Why would I want to pay R64000 for braces and also pay the initial amount to have the quotes done if GEMS does not even pay anything back. I sent through x rays, photos of his moulds and the quote stipulating the initial deposit and the monthly fees. You can only have your childs mouth x rayed once in 3 year?!! What a laugh. Childrens teeth change on a monthly basis. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS IF THE R5000 WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO ME WHEN I PROCEED WITH TREATMENT. I am covering the costs, but need assistance in this regard. And GEMS can not even give me a clear answer as to my question!
