GEMS is becoming more and more useless

On the 17 April 2022 my wife fell on a wet floor during a heavy rain .Her left arm got injured and she was bleeding heavly.I quickly rushed her to Rooihuiskraal Medipark24.Upon the arrival the doctor who attended us said the injury is serious I must rush her to Unitas hospital. WE arrived at Unitas Emergency unit and they attended to her and she was released the same day and asked to come for follow up check up on the 20/04/2022 and we went and they checked her and gave her another follow up checkup for the 22/04/2022 which she honored.

My disappointment is I had to pay a total amount of R 3 301 .80 in cash while the medical paid only R 1410.10 . My wife didn’t choose to get injured it was an accident and needed emergency medical attention .Unitas Hospital is one of GEMS Network hospitals.
