GEMS IS ALWAYS ESCALATING ISSUES BUT NOTHING GETS DONE ,NOW MU NEWBORN COULDN'T GET ADMITTED AT THE HOSPITAL

I've app**** to add my newborn baby on my medical aid, I've sent through the requested documents couple of times but I kept getting request to send the same documents over and over and I did just that even called them to follow up. The last time I followed up was the 07 May and the consultant told me that he will escalate the matter. Silly me after couple of days I checked my son's status on the app and all was well even the funds were reflecting only to get the shock of my life when he got sick on the 15 I had to rush my newborn to the hospital and to be told that medical aid has suspended him, I will have to pay cash for his consultation and admission 😮💨 I had no choice to choose to take my sick child back home because I do not have the cash and medical aid has failed me more than anything else. 😪and the sad part was it was early hours I couldn't call gems to get a wayfoward from them.

In the morning when I did call to enquire as to what's the suspension all about ,I'm yet again been told that they will escalate the matter and I must wait until Saturday to get any feedback of some sorts. But yet in the meantime my newborn is terrible sick 😫 and I must just watch him suffer at home even though I've app**** and added documents in time for him to be a dependent ☹️

GEMS your unpleasant treatment is really cutting deep no parent wants to see their newborn suffer like this☹️
