Gems has failed me once more

Gems medical aid is by far the worst medical aid I have been on. I am in Emerald option, I was told that it covers 100% on everything on admission.

03 August 2021 my son was admitted in hospital for Chronic lung disease. Multiple tests were done on him while he was in hospital, now to my surprise I owe Ampath pathology. I have been making contact with Gems since a year ago until today, they give me different reference numbers everyday and promise to get back to me in 7-14 working days but they never do that.

I have been speaking to Nonjabulo, the last time I spoke to her was on the 14 February 2022,she has never gotten back to me till date. Her reference number was MH***.

Today I called, I spoke to someone different, I spoke to Happy, her reference number was MH***, she kept me on hold for 20 minutes, she called me back and told me a lame story, when I asked to speak to someone senior she put me on hold for an hour, until now I do not know how or where to go about it because she never got back to me. I called and I was given another new agent

This is very exhausting. Gems needs to improve their service or we will have to involve Unions to help us get subsidy from other medical aids but Gems because Gems keeps failing us and their agents are too unprofessional
