Gems (Government Employees Medical Scheme) I have lost my faith in you

If I could give GEMS less than the 1star, I would. I have been going about from back to fro, to get my wife on my GEMS medical aid. She is on the oncology programme and needs treatment immediately. I app**** for her to be on my GEMS medical aid on the 7th of June 2022. She finished working for SAPS on the 31st of May 2022. She was advised to resign from GEMS before I could apply for membership and after her resignation, I immediately app****. Doesn't there have to be a lapse of more than 30 days for a waiting period to be imposed? In any case, this application was processed in July of 2022 and therefore her 3 month probation started on the 1st of August 2022. It has been a struggle to get this probation uplifted to start her treatment and benefits as a GEMS member. Numerous phone calls, Reference number after reference number and still I am stuck. The GEMS automated email response says it will get back within 48 hours...What a lie...I am stuck with my hands in my hair. Anyone out there that has better advise on how to speed up this process...
