GEMS FAILING THEY MEMBERS AND NOT PRIORITIZING THEY HEALTH AND WELLBEING!!!

I am writing to bring to your attention a critical situation involving my MOTHER who has been hospitalized for the past three weeks with a severe and life-threatening medical condition. The patient, is in urgent need of medical treatment. The pain gets worsened by day, however, we are facing significant delays in obtaining authorization from GEMS for the necessary procedures.

As per the South Africa medical regulations, it is imperative that patients receive timely and appropriate medical care to ensure their well-being and recovery. The prolonged delay in authorization from GEMS is causing undue stress and jeopardizing the health and safety of the patient.

We have followed all the necessary protocols and submitted the required documentation for authorization, but despite our repeated efforts, we have not received a response from GEMS. The medical team treating the patient has emphasized the urgency of the situation and the critical need for immediate intervention.

I kindly request your urgent intervention in expediting the authorization process for the medical treatment required, Time is of the essence, and any further delay could have severe consequences for the patient’s (MY Mother) health.
