GEMS Disservice

I have a number of bad incidents with GEMS but my current encounter takes the trophy. I app**** for maternity program in March since I'm expecting and was also approved for PMB( High Risk Patients) meaning my visit with the gynae have to be extended. Only 3 of my visits were paid for and the rest were left for me to pay. I'm sitting with a bill of of R14000 yet I have been approved for high risk pregnancy.

I visited their branches a number of times and called in to resolve the matter but I'm not getting anything. I later got an email from GEMS saying they are resolving my matter and they will get back to me in 30 days. How does it take so long for something that is an emergency? I don't even want to start on the number of short payments that are waiting for me. Another thing is, what is it with patients who suddenly have to do their own admin when being admitted at hospitals? Getting your own authorization done? GEMS is a living night mare. I am as good as someone who has no medical aid although I'm on one of their highest options. It's a pity I can't change medical aids.
