Gems chronic medication

My husband drinks chronic medication Asocol for his stomach prescribed by Dr Geofré Heyns. GEMS does not want to put the Asocol on chronic, but sends me emails continuously that we must put the Asocol on chronic. I and the Doctor’s rooms have tried to put the Asocol on Chronic numerous times to no avail. Please help.
