GEMS are pathetic and don't care

GEMS don't eve deserves a star they are the most pathetic and worst medical aid, their benefits for diabetics are bad and absolutely non exciting. Government Employees are forced to be member otherwise they don't get subsidies. They will rather pay hundreds of thousands of rands for a person to be hospitalized than to my pay for an insuline pump and sensor. Diabetics can get more and more health problems they don't care. The GEMS agents who are suppose to help you is also very ***********. After waiting for 45min, for anyone to to answer the phone, they just tell you that they don't pay because it is not on the list. I have send may e-mail and motivations from my dr. explaining to them that I can't go without the pump and sensor. The only answer you get back on your emails they have refered it. After many enquiries I was just told that is was declined because it is not on the list. A diabetic is defnitely not going to get any help from GEMS even is you like me on their highest plan. THEY JUST DON'T CARE, IT SEEMS THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY MEDICAL AID WHO DON'T WANTS TO HELP DIABETICS. When they say they there to help people they are the biggest ****s.
