Been with them for 36 years and sadly now must say they became the worst medical aid. Their statements are quite misleading to members. You go see a soecialist because you must go for operation. Doctor send you for x rays. And guess what afterward you get a supprise of your life. An invoice stating your day to day limits are exeeded. If you do an enquiry they tell you yes your family daybto day benifits are exhausted, but they send you a statement showing next to your naem x amount used and then x amount available. Next to a person who used their portion up it states ***** and then exeeded. If the family day to day is exhausted they can't put any available amounts for any other person next to their names. This is misleading. So whobis going to pay for these invoices because you still think you have bennifits available, because that is what is showing next to your name. And doing an enquiry is useless. Getting the same amswer over and over again and then they tell you to send a mail and suggest how they must send statements. This is not going to pay the invoices. And for a member that that is a pensionar after a (iod,ptsd) where must we get that money. Please people think twice before becoming a member at GEMS. Never had problems with them but now it is terrible.
