Funds issue

I have been to hospital because if c1 fracture. I than got discharged and have to do follow up with the specialist because I am on halo braces recovering from home. I have done scans twice. Today I had to do scan MRI to which was supposed to determine taking off braces. Boom at the hospital referred by Dr for a scan. I was told authorisation declined because of insufficient funds than I have to pay R6500 for the scan. My worry is I paid this useless medical aid for years and never got admitted, but only once in 2020 after accident my medical aid cannot help me financially to pay all the Bill's as I am still recovering. This is so annoying and unacceptable to have such traumatic medical aid. Now I have to wait with brace on until Dr trace the progress. What a nightmare and unacceptable way of treating government employees.
