********** and useless medical giver cares about income only.

This is the worst medical aid when it comes to responding or even when you ask to speak to a superior , they will BS you in telling you that they will call you soon till to date I have not received any call and every time you call and speak with their useless consultants who fail to give credible advice on things its always a blame game. I contacted Gems for termination of a dependant on my medical aid as she is well off and medically taking of herself financially this was on the 7 of Jan 2020. I was informed that I should give them a 1 calendar month for that termination to be effective. I requested the application I submitted to read the termination policy as it was not available on their new application forms and it said 1 calendar month , however the 1 calendar month is not a fixed term it is just 1 calendar month. I then put the test to the consultant that was busy with me and they kept on running away and did not want to have another understanding of a 1 calendar month only the one they have been brainwashed about by Gems. I then submitted the termination form with an explanation to them with regards to 1 calendar month and contract termination on the 8 Jan 2020 and I was informed I will receive a response after 48 hours believe you me it has never came till today up I picked up the phone to follow up on the matter , spoke to a different person and had to start the story again all over. It is so strange that they understand a 1 calendar month when it come to terminating your work contract serving your notice that it starts the moment you submit your resignation letter , when it comes to terminating a dependant even if its the 2nd of the month it will have to start the following months 1st day. I am to date waiting for their response or call as I have argued this point with them but to no avail. But in my post received the 13 Jan 2020 the dependant that I requested to be removed is already out does not appear on the card they have forwarded to me but on my persal deductions are still on and they have received nothing with regards to termination as they say it will be after February. I have involved my legal team with regards to this and will take it further on.
