Extra funding extra chaos
Two weeks ago my psychiatrist sent in a motivation for extra funding for my chronic medication. Every week since, I received an sms apologizing for the delay. As the month is ending and I require my refill, I called the medical aid. Their incompetence is amazing. The first two calls that I made I was put on hold and the call cut. When I finally got through to someone who knew what was going on, she said the matter is being escalated. This apparently is the 3rd escallation for the day. They speak of a backlog. So now I don't have medication because of a backlog. Gems seems to be causing more harm than anything.when it comes to payments, theres no backlog . Sadly I am stuck with this medical Aid.

30 Nov 2022, 14:37Complete lie. I haven't received any feedback. In fact I had called them 3 times since I posted. Really *******. I thing our unions should be made aware of such inefficiency and perhaps not make gems compulsory for government workers.
