Does not pay

I was on discovery medical aid, then i joined GEMS and because i m expecting a baby wanted to cover my child too after birth. I called a consultant ask who long is probation period for me then they told me three months. I fill the form and disclose all my information that i was pregnant and my due date and joined in September 2017. They started deducting my money in October 2017. Then i called again in December asking when can i start using my medical aid they told me January 2018. then in mid-January i was due for my check up with a gyner and i was told my medical aid did not pay and when i further went to request for authorization to deliver which is March 2018 they decline. Only now they told me about 12 months for my maternity benefits which were not disclosed to me the moment i joined.

I sent an email to complaints within GEMS it been a week no response. I called consultant yesterday to cancel telling me about 30 days notice... meaning they still going to eat my money where as they were useless. I have paid R15 000 to date but still have to have money to pay hospital bills. I regret the day i joined... i dont knw what was i thinking i though i was doing what best for me and my unborn child but all the want is making money and they hide information from client. I have never been so disappointed and stress in my life. I should have save the money for my delivery or use my discovery or medihelp they were transparent and clear with everything. GEMS is really a **** i should have listen from my colleges.
