Dear GEMS Medical Scheme,

I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a letter sent to my current employer, the Department of Correctional Services, on April 1, 2025. The letter incorrectly states that my current employer is up-to-date with contributions, while placing the responsibility for settling June 2024 arrears on my previous employer, the Department of Health.

As you are aware, I left the Department of Health on April 30, 2024, and joined the Department of Correctional Services on May 1, 2024. Consequently, my current employer should be responsible for contributions from May 2024 onwards. I'm concerned about the inaccuracies in your letter and the lack of rationale behind this decision.

I've struggled to get assistance from consultants, and a recent conversation with Kelinah didn't resolve the issue. I kindly request that you:

1. Investigate this matter urgently. 2. Correct the inaccuracies in your records. 3. Clarify the responsibility for settling the June 2024 arrears.

I've attached relevant details, including the email sent to my current employer on April 1, 2025, from ***.
