Disappointed applicant

I app**** for medical aid in May and effective date was 01 June 2023.However on my payslip of June(15th to be precise) there was no deduction.

I then followed up by calling, I was told that I was recorded as a pensioner on the system(their mistake which had nothing to do with me)

I asked how can the issue be rectified and didnt get clear response,all I was told was that the deduction will happen this month and there is possibility of double deduction.

I do not understand why I should pay for the mistake which has nothing to do with me
