Creeping incompetence at GEMS

<p>I have been trying to explain to Gems for about a month now that my doctor is not meant to be paid twice because I settled her bill already. They either don't seem to care or to understand. Either way, it's frustrating and unprofessional. Now it seems they may pay her twice for services already rendered.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I ask Gems a simple question about how their consultations limit work and why specialist consultations are grouped in the same bracket as GP consultations, they just don't respond. Is another entity going the way of public services in SA? Is this the beginning of the end for Gems?</p> <p>Gems, why the obfuscation? Why not just do your job? I pay a hefty medical aid premium so at least have the decency to answer my requests with some common sense. I'm begging you guys. No one gets sick on purpose. </p>
